1. Event-Specific Refund Eligibility
Every event listed on Lokaal Go displays its refund eligibility tag (such as “Refundable” or “Non-Refundable”) and specific terms on the event details page and within the checkout summary before payment is finalized.
Visible Event Policy Governs:
The visible event-specific refund policy established by the organizer applies to your ticket order, subject to applicable consumer protection and contract law in India. Customers are required to review the displayed refund terms prior to payment completion.
2. Events Cancelled by the Organizer
If an event is formally cancelled in its entirety by the organizer due to administrative, regulatory, security, or weather-related reasons:
- Refund eligibility and the refundable amount depend on the specific organizer event policy and applicable law.
- Lokaal Go collaborates with the organizer to initiate eligible ticket refunds back to customers in accordance with verified organizer settlement accounts and statutory requirements.
- Customers will be notified through registered contact channels with instructions on refund processing.
3. Rescheduled or Postponed Events
If an event is rescheduled to a new date, time, or alternative venue within the same metropolitan area:
Existing confirmed tickets typically remain valid for the newly scheduled date. Where permitted by the organizer’s event policy, customers who are unable to attend on the revised date will be offered a designated window to request a refund. The applicable deadline and submission instructions will be communicated upon announcement of the rescheduled date.
4. No-Show, Late Arrival & Change of Mind
Unless explicitly provided otherwise in the organizer’s individual event policy:
- No refunds will be granted for customer no-shows, missed events, or delayed arrivals past gate closure hours.
- No refunds will be granted for personal changes of mind, scheduling conflicts, travel delays, or voluntary non-attendance.
- No refunds will be granted if entry is denied by venue security due to failure to present valid photo ID or non-compliance with venue safety protocols.
5. Raising a Refund Request
Eligible refund requests must be formally initiated through one of the following official channels:
- From My Bookings: Log in to your Lokaal Go account, navigate to My Bookings, select the relevant booking, and click “Request Refund” if the event policy allows automated cancellation.
- Via Lokaal Go Support Centre: If automated submission is unavailable, submit a ticket through the Lokaal Go Support Centre selecting the category “Refund / Cancellation” and including your valid Booking ID and purchase details.
6. Failed Deductions & Auto-Reconciliation
Automatic Payment Reconciliation Protocol:
For failed payments where money is deducted from your bank account, card, or UPI app, but the booking is not confirmed due to network dropped connection or gateway timeout, our automated ledger reconciles the transaction with the payment gateway.
Upon reconciliation, the deducted funds are returned automatically to the original source payment method without requiring manual intervention.
7. Processing Timeline & Settlement
“Refunds, once approved and initiated, may take 5–7 working days. Bank or payment-provider timelines may vary.”
Refunds are credited back exclusively to the original payment instrument used during checkout (Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI VPA). Lokaal Go does not issue cash refunds or redirect refunds to third-party bank accounts.
8. Platform & Convenience Fee Refundability
Lokaal Go clearly displays whether platform, service, or convenience fees are refundable prior to payment completion on the checkout screen:
- Event Cancellation by Organizer: Where required by applicable law or specific event terms, processing and platform fees may be refunded in full or in part as specified for that event.
- Customer-Initiated Cancellations: Where a customer voluntarily cancels a refundable ticket under organizer terms, platform fees, payment gateway charges, and applicable GST may be retained to cover transactional processing expenses incurred.
9. Tracking Refund Status
Where available, customers can monitor real-time refund status indicators (such as Pending, Initiated, or Completed) directly inside their user dashboard under My Bookings.
10. Support Centre Inquiries
For support, booking concerns, refunds, privacy requests, or grievances, please submit a request through the Lokaal Go Support Centre.
